$#!+ My Husband Says

Hahahahaha!

So here we are having a late night Yahoo! convo and he starts talking about how he doesn’t like peanut butter but it is a good source of protein so he eats it. Then he veers off and says:

“THAT WORD PROTEIN IS A NEXT ONE THEM RULE CONTRADICTIONS…”I BEFORE “E”EXCEPT AFTER C.” LYING MOTHER FCKERS”

Hahaha so I am dying! I gotta love him!

Summer Movie Season: Can You Smell The Epic-ness?

Its summmmerrrrr!!! Well for college students and movie studios at least. It is the season of the box office blockbusters and this year the summer of the sequel! Last weekend we had the fourth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise (I hope the keep it at four lest they ruin it) which I have yet to see *side eye at the Pretty Boy*. This weekend there is Kung-Fu Panda 2 (YES it is animated, and so what?) and the Hangover 2 which I expect to be as hilarious and epic as the first one.

Other movies that I am looking forward to are Transformers: Dark of the Moon, X-Men: First Class, Green Lantern and most of all the final Harry Potter movie The Deathly Hallows 2 (we’re gonna watch this one in Vegas). I am very excited about going to the movies again. I LOVE the theatre experience with the big screens and the surround sound. I LOVE IT. But I haven’t been to see a movie since the last Harry Potter movie in November. There has hardly been anything to even pique my interest enough to divvy up the $7 for a  movie. Oh and don’t get me started on the 3d craze and how it made us pay even more for horrible movies!

I am really hoping not to be disappointed… I want to be wowed by storylines and special effects and the works… Let’s go summer 2011!!

Movie Date Night and Harry Potter

Well I don’t know if it can actually be called a date since Pretty Boy is there and I am here, but we ARE watching the same thing if that counts! I recently read all the Harry Potter books and now I am re-watching the movies. Mostly so I can point out how the movie people got it wrong (as they always do).

I am so excited about this, its as if I am seeing the story for the very first time. I do feel like a geek, but it comforts me to know that Pretty Boy is even a bigger geek than I am. Tonight, its year one “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”. I bet most of you didn’t even know that was the original title of the movie/book and they changed it for the U.S. I guess cause they think everyone else was too dumb to understand what it meant. Exactly what the snooty British always think! Isn’t it funny how young they all were?

Anyway, I am eating air popped  popcorn, with way to little salt and minimal butter. HEALTHY SNACKING ALL THE WAY! Yay me! Hmm, I am almost done with my popcorn and the movie hasn’t even started yet…

In Between Outings…

Sorry about missing yesterday’s blog guys… I was so super busy and I’m just writing this one in between outings. I just came from the movies with Pretty Boy and the S-i-L. We saw “The Green Hornet” starring Seth Rogan and Jay Chou. It was friggin’ awesome. I don’t know who this Chou guy is but he was perfect as Kato. Seth Rogan, of course, was his regular funny self, in a much slimmed down body.

Anyway, party about to start… Pretty Boy has the Belvedere ready! I’ll give a better blog tomorrow… 🙂

BESOS!

The Most Awesome Thing Ever!

Music! Oh Yeah!!!

About a year ago my old laptop conked out. You know, the one that was attached to the-iPod-where-every-single-song-I-have-ever-loved-liked-or-heard-that-one-time-I-was-six-was-categorized-and-playlisted. It took me years to compile that collection and make sure every song was organized with artist name, album name, track number and genre (I am a tad anal about my iTunes). The the laptop just died on me. For no reason. At All. So that was the end of my iPod as I knew and loved it.

Any avid music listener and collector would be able to understand how much this devastated me, especially when it accidentally synced to another iTunes! My years of hard work went down the drain in mere moments. I mourned my lost friend who had kept me able to ignore the cat calls and jeers from many a man as I traveled to and from school.

Well two nights ago a miracle happened. I was able to revive my dead computer, which I had kept with hope for its recovery. So therefore, I was able to transfer my most beloved files to my new computer. I am in my glee. Some of these files have been transferring from one computer to another for over a decade, so its like a family reunion. I even have the file for the song that Pretty Boy gave me on our very first date and the night of our very first kiss (yeah I kissed him on the first date, and I ain shame). This is so effin awesome!

I’ve been like a kid in a candy store, just re-acquainting myself with my lost loves. Remembering where I was when I first heard certain songs. Or reminiscing on which breakup song went with which dick head ex boyfriend. Sigh…If this isn’t love then I don’t know what is!

This is a selection from my newly minted 'Fav Tunes' playlist

~Madam First Lady for 15 Mins

So this weekend I hopped the fence at Casa del Raye, sneaking past armed guards and ravenous rotweilers, so that I could take pics in front of Hon Michael Misick’s car!!

Armed with my bevy of gurls and dressed in awfully short shorts, a tank top and my head tied up with a shirt, dragging flip flops!!! I must say, I was matching and I was properly accesoried!

I made it into the mansion somehow getting pass the well dressed butler and somehow managed to escape with 3 cans of Red Bull and 2 of the Premier’s own branded cigars. Though not before I enjoyed 2 glasses of White Zinfandel!
We somehow managed to get pass the incredible (ancient) security guard, whom we bribed with the afore mentioned cigars and a can of Red Bull!!!

So ended my 15 mins in the life as Madam First Lady!!!
